Dr. Shyamapada Mukherjee   is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela. He was born in the village of Sarbagan, located in Purulia, West Bengal, and completed his schooling at Chittaranjan High School, a Bengali medium institution. Dr. Mukherjee earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering in 2004, followed by a Master of Technology in the same field in 2006. He achieved his Ph.D. in 2015, specializing in VLSI Physical Design Automation and FPGA architectures using Boolean Satisfiability.

Dr. Mukherjee has previously held academic positions at Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College Durgapur, BITS Pilani, and NIT Silchar. Throughout his career, he has taught numerous essential courses in computer science and has guided many undergraduate and postgraduate students in their thesis work. Additionally, he has supervised multiple Ph.D. theses in diverse areas such as VLSI Design CAD Tools, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Mukherjee has published over 50 articles in various journals, conferences, and book chapters, contributing significantly to his fields of expertise.
